Kaprun apres ski is all about the traditional and sociable party.
You can find the Austrian authentic bars on the side of the slopes or down in the village.
If you want a true local après ski experience, then this is perfect for you and the town is only a 15-minute walk from our apartment.
Just because Kaprun is a small village, doesn’t mean they don’t know how to apres ski!
You can expect steins of beer, hammering a nail into wood and the best Eurotrash music.
5. The Pavillon

Grab your lederhosen and bells, and get ready for the crazy local Austrian après ski.
The Pavillon is a well-placed bar-restaurant in Kaprun centre with a good range of pizza, sweets and beverages.
They have now extended a new section to the Pavillon, making it even bigger!
If you want to chill with a beer, they have a great heated outdoor section where the music is a distant noise from the soundproof glass used.
Always popular with ski instructors and locals since 1992 apparently.

4. Baumbar

If you want a fun Austrian experience, Baumbar is just for you. Open until 4 am this is the place to head after apres-ski.
With live music and a pole to dance on, it’s always a wild night at the Baumbar.
They also sell pizza’s until 10 and play a range of classic Austrian oompah music to live tribute bands.
Your clothes might smell a little smokey after a night out here but I am sure that will be the least of your worries when your hangover kicks in!

3. Paletti

Palttie’s bar offers just that. This small and low lit bar with ski films playing in the background and a pizza oven increase you get peckish.
Perfect for small groups of friends who want to enjoy a drink in the evening. This bar is more popular with seasonnaires and locals.

2. Jausenstation Häuslalm (Kitzsteinhorn)?
If you head inside, the music will be loud, the nail game has enough space for 10+ people and they even have a snow machine inside… trust me, you need to see it!
They also have speaker outside so you can enjoy the last of the sun while sipping your well-deserved beer.
When you get the last lift down, you can continue the party at the small apres bar by the lift or get on the bus and head to the Lederhos’n bar in Kaprun.

Welcome to our favourite aprés ski bar in Kaprun! They will get dancing with your ski boots on in no time with the daily live music, friendly bar staff and a few steins.
Winter: Doors to our Kaprun bar open at 4 PM every day with live music on stage from 5 PM.
